EDO Qld's Debate for Justice is this week!

11 April, 2018

Respected, well-known lawyers and judges will face-off next Thursday 19 April to debate ‘things are hotting up’ - a satirical debate on climate change and other ‘hot' topics.

There's still time to get your tickets for this much anticipated, highly creative and entertaining event.

This year, retired Supreme Court Judge Alan Wilson QC, former President of the Queensland Court of Appeal Margaret McMurdo AC and Judge of the District Court of Queensland Sandy Horneman-Wren SC take on EDO and Friends.

This year's EDO team is Qld CEO Jo-Anne Bragg, National President of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights Benedict Coyne, and Queensland Lead Organiser for GetUp! Ellen Roberts.

Moderator Stephen Keim SC has the task of keeping our lively debaters (and audience!) in line.

To add to the festivities, Mark Driscoll will conduct a live auction and there are also many amazing raffle prizes to win. For those must have items, like the day trip for two to Lady Elliot Island, you can submit your auction bids in advance. Raffle tickets can also be pre-purchased by calling or visiting our office.
