Draft Logan Planning Scheme

10 February, 2014

The Draft Logan Planning Scheme is now open for public comment until 30 April 2014.

Draft Logan Planning Scheme

Consultation will run for 60 business days from 3rd February and will allow interested parties the opportunity to review and make comment.

The purpose of the scheme is to provide for a single planning scheme for the whole of the area of Logan City, replacing Logan's three existing planning schemes.

Logan Koala Conservation Strategic Plan

Logan City has a significant koala population. Page 848 (Part 3) of the Draft Scheme sets out ‘environmental offsets’, including for koalas.

A number of other projects related to the Draft Scheme are also currently available for comment, including the Logan Koala Conservation Strategic Plan, open for public comment until 16 May 2014.

Community Engagement Events

Logan Council is holding a number of community engagement events over the next few months including:

  • Three “Talk to a Planner” information days
  • Pop-up Kiosks at major shopping centres
  • “Planner Desks” at Council customer service centres

These events will allow the public to view the draft planning scheme, talk to a planner and make a submission.  All members of the community are welcome to attend.

A full calendar of events is available here.
