The High Court will hear a special leave application in the matter of Linc Energy.
The Queensland Government is seeking special leave from the High Court to appeal the Queensland Court of Appeal decision in the Linc Energy matter.
Special leave is granted only in those cases where a question of law of public importance arises or where the interests of the administration of justice require consideration by the High Court of the judgement. The High Court is not a Court of Appeal in the ordinary sense.
The special leave application is listed for 9:30am on Friday 14 September, in the High Court’s Brisbane courtroom, which is located on Level 5 of the Commonwealth Law Courts Building at 119 North Quay, Brisbane.
