Land Court delivers Alpha coal judgment

The Queensland Land Court has today recommended that the Queensland Government either reject the Alpha Coal project or approve the project subject to stricter groundwater conditions. The Court was unable to say on the evidence just how far interference with groundwater would extend, so took a precautionary approach to protect landholders.

EDO Qld Funding Update

As you may have heard on ABC radio, the State Attorney-General has refused to restore our State funding. He however acknowledged that EDOs are the only places where Queensland communities can obtain professional legal advice free of charge when faced with public interest environmental, planning and health concerns from proposed developments.
