Join us for an interactive discussion of the Queensland Biodiversity Offset Framework, currently under review by the Queensland Government.
This event is designed to help with the drafting of submissions to the Queensland Government's review of the biodiversity offset framework. Click here to find out more on the current review of our offsets framework.
- Revel Pointon, EDO Qld law reform solicitor, providing legal explanation and critique of the Queensland offsets framework and offering solutions for its improvement; and
- Professor Martine Maron, University of Queensland, conservation biologist with specialist knowledge in how the offsets framework operates at a federal and state level and the outcomes we need for species conservation.
We will provide a simple overview and analysis of the biodiversity framework, and then have an opportunity for QnA and info sharing on experiences with this framework.
We highly encourage all those with an interest in environmental conservation to get involved in the review of this controversial framework and to join the webinar.
